The Detroit Free Press’ Vince Ellis piled together several names of possible coaches to replace Stan Van Gundy, who was recently fired, as the next Pistons coach. Tom Izzo was one of the possible candidates:

Cons: The shine is off at scandal-plagued Michigan State and NCAA results have fallen off in recent years. Sources have downplayed this possibility, but his name will likely surface on the rumor mill.
