Playing a first round NIT game at Robert Morris because of the NCAA Regional games at Rupp Arena, #8 seeded Robert Morris was able to upend #1 seeded Kentucky. The Wildcats didn’t seem to care much about playing in the NIT, while Robert Morris and their fans treated it just like the NCAA Tournament. The fans rushed the court after Kentucky missed a last-second shot and the party began. I’ve never seen anyone rush the court during the NIT because rarely do the lower seeds ever get home court. This is easily the biggest win in Robert Morris Basketball history.
