Michigan Stadium Set Attendance Record For Manchester United-Real Madrid Match

Saturday’s Real Madrid-Manchester United soccer match at the University of Michigan stadium set a soccer match attendance record in the United State. The 109,318 fans witnessed a Man U 3-1 win that included goals from Ashley Young, Javier Rodriguez and Madrid’s Gareth Bale. The old attendance record was 101,799, established 30 years ago for the 1984 Olympic gold-medal final match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
