Michigan Lands Big Time Hoops Transfer In PG Jaaron Simmons

Michigan will need a point guard next year with the departure of senior Derrick Walton. Looks like Jaaron Simmons, a grad-transfer out of Ohio University, will be that guy.  Simmons, who averaged 15.9 points, 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 4 turnovers last season for the Bobcats, will finish his career as a Wolverine:

Simmons, an All Mac First Teamer last year, stands at 6-foot-1 and 184 pounds.  Highlights via UMHoops below:

Michigan is still waiting on word if Moe Wagner and DJ Wilson will stay in NBA Draft or return to Ann Arbor. Assuming both did return, the Wolverines do still have an open scholarship for Simmons.

Xavier Simpson, a sophomore next year, will likely be the backup point with Simmons as the starter.
