Former Five-Star Guard Malik Newman Transferring

After one season at Mississippi State, former five-star guard Malik Newman will transfer, CBS’ Jon Rothstein reports.

Newman, a Jackson, Mississippi native, averaged over 11 ppg. in 27 minutes of action last year.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound shooting guard will have to sit out a season at whichever school he ends up picking.
