North Carolina junior guard J.P. Tokoto made a somewhat shocking decision on Wednesday night entering his name into the 2015 NBA Draft. Five-star recruit Brandon Ingram apparently was paying attention to Tokoto’s decision. The 2015 prospect, and a potential replacement for Tokoto in the Tar Heels’ starting lineup next season, tweeted out:
Ingram, a Kingston, North Carolina native, said he would have committed to UNC had the academic investigation not arisen.
Kentucky likely puts on the full-court press with Ingram after seven players announced their intentions to enter the draft. We’ll see what happens. Ingram is expected to announce in April.
