Dick Vitale was shocked UNC fans rushed court after beating Duke

After weather delayed the matchup, Duke and North Carolina finally tipped off for the first time of the season. Duke, who appeared to have the game in hand, just didn’t have an answer for stopping North Carolina’s Marcus Paige down the stretch.

After the clock hit 0.00 and the Tar Heels had secured the 74-66 victory, to the shock of ESPN’s Dick Vitale, North Carolina fans rushed the court. “This is North Carolina! This is North Carolina!”, Vitale shouted into the mic.

Let’s not forget that last season, Coach K stopped the Duke students from rushing the court after its No.2 ranked Dukies beat an unranked Carolina team, so it’s not completely ridiculous that UNC would rush the court last night.
