Los Angeles Kings defenseman Alec Martinez buried home a rebound to finally end the 2-2 tie between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings and clinch the Stanley Cup in double overtime of Game 5. Truly a heartbreaker for the Rangers, but what a phenomenal game and series.
LAK become 1st team in 34 years (1980 NYI Bob Nystrom) to win Cup on home ice in OT. Tremendous end to best playoff year I’ve ever seen. — Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) June 14, 2014
