Mike Trout hit for the cycle….or did he?

The 21-year-old Mike Trout became the second youngest player in MLB history to hit for a cycle on Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners (Mel Ott was the youngest at 20 in 1929). In a 12-0 rout, Trout started his 4-for-5 evening with an infield single in the bottom of the third inning.  He then followed it up with triple in the fourth inning. Trout hit a bases clearing double in the sixth inning, and finished the cycle after hitting a home run to center field in his final at bat in the eighth. Trout is the first Angel player to hit for the cycle since Chone Figgins in 2006.

Seems Trout caught a break during his third inning single.
