Upton brothers make history with back-to-back home runs

B.J. Upton and Justin Upton became the first brothers to hit back-to-back home runs since the Waner brothers did so in 1938 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

B.J. led the fifth inning of Tuesday’s double-header with the Colorado Rockies off with a shot to left field. Justin then followed his older brother up with a blast to right-center field.

According to USA Today, it’s the 27th time in MLB history two brothers have hit homeruns in the same game, but the second time it has been consecutive. uptonhere630
