Anze Kopitar scores slick game-winning goal against the Red Wings

The Los Angeles Kings started the season with signs of a Stanley Cup hangover, posting a 3-5-2 record in their first 10 games.  They have started to turn things around and on Wednesday, their good play continued as they beat the Detroit Red Wings 2-1.  The Wings were up 1-0 and the Kings scored two goals in the third period to win the game.

On the second goal, Anze Kopitar was left wide open in front of the net and got the pass from Dwight King off the half-wall.  Wings goalie Jimmy Howard played a little too over aggressive and Kopitar exploited it used his soft hands and big reach to bring the puck back to his backhand to bury the puck.  Howard was obviously left out to dry on the play, and Kopitar is one of the better players in the league and had no trouble scoring.  The Kings have now won seven of their last eight games.
