Report: Recruits Mom steals his Letter of Intent

In an absolutely bizarre twist, it is being reported by ESPN that Alex Collins, an Arkansas commit, had his Letter of Intent stolen by his mom, and she won’t let him sign it.

Wetzel says that his mother apparently favors Miami and doesn’t want him to be a Razorback.  Collins did not show up for his National Signing Day ceremony this morning, and obviously, Arkansas is scrambling to try and figure out what is going on with their highly ranked runningback.  Collins is from Plantation, Florida, so my guess is his mom wants the four-star recruit to stay closer to home.

This isn’t the first time that a recruits mother has not been happy with her son’s choice.

Maybe it has something to do with the last name “Collins.”
