Twitter Campaign to get kid with Down syndrome on SportsCenter works

Owen Groesser, a junior high student with Down syndrome, sunk two three pointers late in the game for Van Hoosen Junior High School in Rochester Michigan.

Owen’s friends and teammates took to Twitter to start a #GetOwenOnSportsCenter Twitter campaign, and it worked. Owen was featured on Wednesday night’s Top Ten and then an interviewed on SportsCenter the following day.

  1. A very good story, and no one in the crowd was asked to leave because they thought he was being a bother to them.
