The story that stole the headlines from Oprah for her interview with Lance Armstrong, Deadspin’s uncovering that Manti Te’os dead girlfriend was a hoax, may actually end up right back with her.

A petition has been created by BuzzFeed’s media editor Michael Hayes that would have Oprah interview Manti Te’o to sort out the situation.

We’ll find out tonight and tomorrow night how Oprah handles the Armstrong interview, but the Manti Te’o story seems to be just the kind of human interest story that Oprah could get to the bottom of. Signature, anyone?
