Adam Greenberg gets second chance to swing bat (Video)

Adam Greenberg’s last appearance on the baseball field was over seven years ago. As you probably have heard, Greenberg was hit in the head with a 92 mph fastball during the first and only pitch of his MLB career.

Greenberg was given a second chance by the Miami Marlins, who gave him a one day contract and guaranteed at-bat.

Greenberg faced NL Cy Young contender R.A. Dickey on Tuesday night and struck out in three pitches, but that’s far from the point.

No matter what happened during Greenberg’s at-bat, this is a great story for anyone who believes in second chances.

The day after interview: “What dreams are made of”

Greenberg’s also getting his own baseball card.
