This list is a fail! The Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks and Cal Bears have great Uniforms. Ok, so Oregon has about 15 different uniforms. Pick one, like the white one with the white helmet – it makes them look like running teeth! Lol.
But the Washington Huskies, with those gold helmets and those gold pants and purple jerseys…or how about the gold helmet with black jersey and pants with the purple and gold trim? That’s probably the coolest uniform in college football!
And the Cal Bears, with the navy blue and gold trim, always look ready to go.
Of course a scUM grad has scUM number one. THEIR HELMETS REALLY AREN’T THAT COOL!! Where’s Maryland’s uniforms? Can’t miss the black helmet, black jersey, white pants. Definitely unique. You don’t see many state flags sported on uniforms. After all, most are STATE universities!
You completely invalidated any argument you might have by saying that Maryland should be included on this list…they have the worst uniforms in the land, bar none. And as you are an Ohio State fan and clearly an Eleven Warriors subscriber, I would expect nothing less than for you and me to disagree.
I’m well aware that Fritz Crisler brought the helmet with him when he came from Princeton, because he was the one that is credited with inventing it and brought it with him when he came to Michigan to coach. Stolen? I think not.
Hey dbag, I’m not a butteye fan. I find it offensive that you would even think that. Not every college football enthusiast is either a scUM fan or butteye fan. Of course you scUM fans walk around with your noses so high in the air that you wouldn’t notice anyone else. Your uniforms suck. Your little ‘rivalry’ game sucks. Your team sucks. Your school sucks. Your list sucks. You suck. Can’t wait for week one when that scoreboard reads BAMA 31 – scUM 0. Then you can go back and cry because the refs lost the game. WAH WAH WAH
Hahaha, thanks for the laugh BB, you could make a living out of hiding behind your computer and being an ignorant sports blog troll!! I haven’t seen a comment as insightful and thought provoking since I gave up Bucknuts to get a life!! *rolls eyes*
From that comment, I’m guessing he’s actually a sparty fan. Hahahaha go blue
You left Nebraska off your list. Seriously, how fail can you get? I mean…wow. You listed every blue blood except the Cornhuskers. And we’re supposed to take this list seriously? Okie doke.
Let’s be honest, you could make a top 50 list for Uni’s and there still wouldn’t be enough spots and people would still complain. Completely agree that Washington, Cal and Nebraska all have solid Uni’s, but I felt that there were enough Pac-12 and Big Ten teams on the list already and I was trying to provide some balance. Nebraska got the ax because their Uni’s are already similar to Wisconsin’s, and realistically, could have been included on the same ranking instead of being left out completely. That being said, I stand by the rankings as they are.
Michigan stole their “unique” uniform from Princeton. Maze and Gold fans can’t argue that they had it first. Princeton was rocking that uniform in the first ever college football game against Rutgers.
Do you mean that Fritz Crisler invented the winged helmet in 1935 while coaching at Princeton, and then when he came to Michigan to be the Head Coach in 1938, he brought it with him? Not sure who the “Maze and Gold” are, but I certainly wasn’t ever arguing that they were the first to have it. Furthermore, in 1869, when that first ever game occurred, nobody was wearing a helmet, so they certainly haven’t been “rocking that uniform” since then. They weren’t even called Princeton back then, they were called the College of New Jersey.
I find it hilarious that not only are most of these jerseys boring and plain but the author then comments back by attacking the viewers of the site. I guess he thinks people will come back to visit if he calls them names and belittles them.
You’re what we call back home a retard that moter boats rims. anyways next time u think about doing a top 25 Uniforms most of your top 25 u only went by just the helmet. oh and by the way Michigan still sucks!!!!
This list is a biased attempt to fall in line with actual journalists. You ran off a list of “blue-bloods” and tossed in Northwestern. WVU has a couple of awesome looking uniforms, TCU has a couple of uniforms that are really nice. Baylor, Rutgers and UMASS are stepping up. Penn State, Florida, Texas haven’t improved anything. They are iconic yes, best not even close. Oregon will always have the coolest or best uniforms. If Nike gave the Top 25 teams right now 50 million, all schools would have amazing shit going on.
How can you have a ‘best uni list’ and NOT have the Washington Huskies Purple and Gold home on your list. They are easily the best looking in all of football. This list is TRASH!!!
Generally I do not read post on blogs, however I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thanks, quite nice post.
Cool list. In my opinion the 2 U.T. should flip. The 1st and original U.T. to people who dont know which was original U.T. it University of Tennessee Volunteer Orange is alot better than Texas’s Burnt Orange. I also like the Power T on the helmet better than Longhorn cow head. The Orange Line going down middle of helmet also helps out. The Oregon Uniform in article is only one I liked. They get little to crazy! Also glad Maryland didnt make the list. Didnt see 2012 uniform but 2011 uniforms were hideous especially the one they wore on ESPN Thursday night game that had state flag helmets had to be num.1 on worst uniform of 2011 2012′s worst helmet had to go to Virginia Tech’s Turkey helmet they wore against I believe they wore during Boston College game. Thats just my 2 cents.

You realize that Michigan stole their helmet from Michigan State and Princeton way back when?
You should have clarified that you’re a Michigan grad at the beginning…and then left the bias out of the equation. Poorly done.
I’m well aware that Fritz Crisler brought the helmet with him when he came from Princeton, because he was the one that is credited with inventing it and brought it with him when he came to Michigan to coach. Stolen? I think not.

The Ohio State uniform you have pictured is the road uniform, the home uniform has the scarlet jersey.
USC? Since when is mustard and ketchup on your clothes attractive? It’s amazing how much better things look when you’re winning.

West Virginia should be on the list with the blue on blue. Don’t forget about Boise
Oklahoma uniforms are crimson & cream not red & white.
Boomer Sooner!!
And where exactly is the cream in OU uniforms. Cream is an official color of the school, but is not used in the uniforms. They are crimson and white.

Colorado should have made this list.
